Thanks to the Crew who served at Columbus House in September!

Thanks to your generosity, on Thursday, September 24th, Columbus House clients enjoyed a dinner of casserole, green beans, green salad, bread and butter, cake, and watermelon.   Many thanks to all our food shoppers, preparers, and servers!!

Our shoppers and chefs were:  Ray & Lynn Andrewsen, Betsy Barker, Pam Brownell, Carolyn Cary, Don & Jacki Colvin, Hugh Davis, Jean Davis, Nancy Elliott, Barbara Hobbs, Bobbie Kraus, Cynthia Licata, Gayle Logan, Sharon Medak, Maureen Munzner, Michele O’Connell, Marian Page, Ellen Schowalter, and the Watkins family.   Our servers were Linda Katz, Bobbie Kraus, Amy Lynn, Mary Manion and Theresa Voss.

This is a wonderful ministry, and one that is easy to get involved in.  Spring Glen Church provides the evening meal at Columbus House on the fourth Thursday of each month. It’s an easy way to help others on your own time – even if you can’t serve on Thursday night, you can shop or cook ahead of time – and if you have young children in your life, it’s a great way to get them involved in helping others.   (Children can be great cake bakers, casserole mixers, and servers.)

Our next opportunity to serve will be Thursday, October 22.   Look for the sign-up sheet each month in the entryway, and join us in this fun, rewarding, and essential ministry.   (Questions?  Contact Amy Lynn, 203-281-7089, jesta5@comcast.net.)
